3D devices printing based on the SLS method are still a sort of novelty on the market of generating three-dimensional objects. The use of nylon powder (and not only that) offers considerable potential in the context of durability, and at the same time translates onto other parameters. It’s clearly visible in the case of Sintratec Kit.

Away with metal!
Best 3D printers, working on technology of laser-sintered powder, enable to work with metal material and… are very expensive. Sintratec Kit isn’t either too durable, or too expensive. It’s just a printer that will work out, based on the plastic powders. Metal will simply destroy it. Luckily, due to the second parameter, the product is much more accessible to the potential customers that a classic SLS printer.
Large space of working area

An advantage of Sintratec Kit is its working area, and specifically its size. Although it’s a cube with a dozen centimeters side, the manufacturers of Sintratec Kit recommend to use a slightly smaller working area. It’s connected with the device’s working technology, and by no means its drawback (just a specific feature of the technology).
Efficiency
Another advantage of Sintratec Kit is a relatively big efficiency of work. The device enables printing a detail at the highest layer in just an hour. With smaller layers (and more precision), the time of the process will be twice as long, but it’s still very little if we consider standard 3D printers.
Price
Although Sintratec Kit has some drawbacks, the price of the equipment speaks for the purchase. While a standard SLS printer will be a substantial expenditure not only for a private customer, but also for small and medium firms, Sintratec Kit may be purchased for a considerably lower price.

Minuses of Sintratec Kit, or what we should pay attention to
The first and biggest drawback of the product is its low precision. It results from a relatively big thickness of the base, oscillating around a tenth of a millimeter. The fault is compensated by the technology of model-making, allowing to generate considerably more smooth details, in which particular layers aren’t visible.
Another shortcoming of the device is its assembly. To a skilled and experienced professional as long as… a couple of days. And no wonder. The device is sold as a KIT, which means that all its components must be put together and positioned by the final recipient. Fortunately, we can find in the internet a very extensive documentation, including all the steps necessary for assembly of the 29-kg device.
Summary
Sintratec Kit is definitely an affordable device (especially price-wise). Unfortunately, the small resolution of print, despite a few obvious advantages, clearly disqualifies the machine as a tool for professional and accurate tasks. Nonetheless it’s worth to buy it, if we care for simple details and… we have a few thousand euros in the pocket.
